BROUSSARD, LA July 7th 2025 — Power Temp Systems, a national leader in power distribution solutions based in Broussard, has been named a 2025 Louisiana Growth Leader by Louisiana Economic Development (LED).
The honor was presented at the Spotlight Louisiana Awards, the state’s premier event recognizing businesses that exemplify entrepreneurial excellence, innovation and community impact. This year’s ceremony took place at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center and was the largest night of the year for celebrating Louisiana’s small businesses.
Gov. Jeff Landry said, “These honorees aren’t just building successful businesses; they’re driving what’s possible when Louisiana’s entrepreneurial grit meets statewide support and unprecedented momentum.”
Power Temp Systems began as a regional provider of portable power equipment and has evolved into a national leader in temporary and permanent power infrastructure. Under the leadership of CEO Mark Mire, the company has shortened industry-standard production timelines for power distribution units (PDUs) from 14 months to 10 to 12 weeks, helping customers scale faster and more efficiently.
In the past two years, Power Temp Systems has grown from 40 to 110 employees, launched an innovation and testing center, and broken ground on a 200,000-square-foot manufacturing campus that will quadruple its production capacity. More than 80 percent of the company’s new hires are Louisiana residents, many of whom have transitioned from the hospitality and energy sectors. This reinforces the company’s commitment to local workforce development.
Mire said, “Louisiana has been the best place for us to grow. This state gave us the people, the grit and the support to build something meaningful. We’re proof that world-class innovation doesn’t have to come from a tech hub. It can thrive in a community that believes in its people.”
Power Temp Systems joins a cohort of 2025 Louisiana Growth Leaders projected to collectively employ more than 1,000 people, generate $700 million in sales and attract more than $400 million in new capital to the state in the coming year.
Susan Bourgeois, LED Secretary, said, “The 2025 Louisiana Growth Leaders are redefining what is possible. They are anchoring local communities, blazing trails in innovation, expanding into new markets and building wealth that uplifts entire regions.”
